Student Activities

Dental Hygiene students are involved in service learning while attending University of Mississippi Medical Center. As a fulfilling component of dental hygiene professional education, community involvement and volunteer work are expected. Examples may include helping Brownies earn their oral health badge, providing a Holiday party for the Baptist Children's Village, participating in oral health fairs, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, supporting health walks, etc. Students also have the opportunity to join the American Dental Hygienists' Association as student members. Membership dues are $45 each year.
